Kathryn Auman (Artistic Director) received her BFA in dance and choreography from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in 1996. While at VCU she recieved the Frances Wessells scholarship for dance four times and was the first annual recipient of the Outstanding Dance & Choreography Award. Since college, she has taught classes and choreographed all over Wake County including setting a piece on Meredith College dancers. Kathryn is a founding member of Even Exchange Dance Theater and enjoys collaborating with her dancing friends. Kathryn has been the Dance Director at Arts Together since 2007 and has had the great pleasure of directing the Rainbow Dance Company for the last six years. |

Ann Huntley (Artistic Director) began dancing at 19, with Betsy Blair at the Come Child Dance studio and continued to study dance throughout the Triangle community with Easy Moving Company, Arts Together, Meredith College, and others for over 30 years. She is a founding member of Even Exchange Dance Theater. Ann has a degree in civil engineering from NC State. She currently teaches children, adults, and seniors throughout the Raleigh community. |

Glenda Mackie (Artistic Director), is a founding member of Even Exchange, was awarded a scholarship to Tisch School of the Arts, where she received her BFA in dance. She then returned to her hometown, where she served as dance director at Arts Together for almost 20 years. Glenda joyfully directed the Rainbow Dance Co from 1990-2004. Her work with THEM, a collaborative improvisational quartet, further shaped her belief in the importance of physical research. She teaches at Enloe High School and is the Arts Department chair. She has received the NC Dance Alliance Award for contributions to dance in our state as well as the Kathryn Wallace Award for community artists. |

Michelle Pearson (Artistic Director) is a dance artist actively working in many communities throughout her home state of NC and abroad. She makes dances with people of all ages and abilities, including veterans, inmates, retired clowns, preschoolers, and professional dancers. She has been a member of Raleigh’s Even Exchange Dance Theater since 1998. She was a touring member of Liz Lerman Dance Exchange from 1993–1997 and remains an adjunct artist with the company. Currently, Michelle is the lead artist for the MetLife Healthy Living Initiative at Dance Exchange and for the Healing Arts Initiative through the Vermont Arts Exchange and the MA Cultural Council. Before joining Lerman’s company, Michelle danced with the Doris Humphrey Repertory Company and the American Dance Ensemble in NYC. She holds a BFA in dance from ECU and was recognized by the NC Arts Council with a Choreographic Fellowship in 2002–2004. She was a 2006–2008 William Friday Fellow and is committed to improving human relations in the state of NC through dance. Read this exciting news about Michelle's latest project.

Amanda Floyd Beaty (Artistic Associate) Amanda studied biology and dance at UNC-Greensboro and holds a Masters Degree in Environmental Science from the University of Virginia. She returned to NC in 2006 and found her dance home at Arts Together. She is blessed to be a part of Even Exchange Dance Theater as well as the Durham-based company Gaspard&Dancers. When not dancing, Amanda works as a research specialist in the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. |

Jill Guyton (Artistic Associate) graduated with a BA in Dance and BS in Business from Meredith College. She is now a dance instructor at the Academy for the performing Arts, Apex, NC, and is the Artistic Advisor for the Meredith Jazz and Tap Company, where she choreographs and teaches. Jill is honored to be working with the artists of EEDT; and proud to be a member of the company and its work. |

Eleanor Smith (Artistic Associate) Eleanor received her BFA in dance from FSU and her MFA in dance from UNC- Greensboro. She has taught and choreographed throughout Florida and North Carolina and has performed with John Gamble Dance Theater as well as 2B Tribe. Currently, she is a member of and choreographer for the Rainbow Dance Company in Raleigh. Her work, running...strings...only faster, was toured as a part of the 2009–2010 NC Dance Festival. |

Ashley G. Spears (Artistic Associate) received her BA from Meredith College in 2009 with a concentration in education and obtained a K - 12 teaching license. Throughout her dance career, Ashley has trained under Carol Finley, Talani Torres, Joan Nicholas Walker, Alyson Colwell Waber and Courtney Greer. Ashley's choreography has been featured at the American College Dance Festival at Ohio Univeristy (2008) and at the Triangle Dance Festival for Aids at UNC-Chapel Hill (2009). Ashley has performed for Meredith Dance Theatre, Nick-Walk Dance Productions and currently, Even Exchange Dance Theatre. |

Virginia Hill (Adjunct Artist) has a Master of Arts in Teaching from Smith College, and danced with the New Africa Dance Ensemble of Amherst MA. She went on to earn a dance education licensure from Meredith College and has completed dance/movement therapy alternate route training. She danced with the dance ministry of Crossroads Fellowship for over 15 years. Virginia is also an adjunct member of the Liz Lerman Dance Exchange, participating in the MetLife Healthy Living Initiative. In support of her dance work, she continues to observe movement and to learn about other forms of artistic expression, with the desire to create work that touches hearts and speaks clearly. Her life goal is to make dances with people that bring healing and joy through all circumstances. |

Nikki Dublin Turner (Adjunct Artist) received her B.A. in Dance, with a concentration in Private Studio Teaching. She's enjoying her fifth year as an instructor at Arts Together and her third year as a member of Rainbow Dance Company. This is her first year performing with EEDT. She's performed works choreographed by Joan Nicholas-Walker, L.D. Burris of 2 Near The Edge, Carol Finley, director of dance at Meredith College, she's also performed works as a member of Meredith Dance Theater. Nikki also holds a B.S. in Business Administration. |

Karen Royce Warr (Adjunct Artist) Karen Royce Warr has a BA in Biology with a dance minor from Randolph Macon Woman’s College and has studied dance in Florida, London, and at Kansas State University. In Gainesville, FL she was a member of Danscompany, and she is currently a member of the Rainbow Dance Company in Raleigh. Karen obtained her M.Sc. in Coastal Ecology from UNCW and worked as a wetlands ecologist in North Carolina and Florida. She has performed with local choreographers and currently teaches creative movement at Artstogether. |
The Even Exchange Dancers are also educators. All of the artistic directors and many of the associates and adjuncts teach dance to all ages at Arts Together, the Community School for the Arts at 114 St. Mary's St. in Raleigh.
